About Us
BEC Ventures LLC is building a sustainable, community-first water taxi and shuttle service on the Ohio River. Our goal is to make river transport as familiar and accessible as calling an Uber or Lyft — easing bridge congestion, supporting local businesses, and enhancing the waterfront experience.
Pilot & Phased Growth
- Phase 1 (Pilot): Event-focused operations using two small passenger vessels (10–12 seats each). Primary emphasis on Yum! Center events, festivals, and seasonal peaks. Limited testing of peak-hour baseline service may occur, but there is no intention of positioning as a daily commuter option at this stage.
- Phase 2 (Expansion): Introduction of a larger (30+ passenger) vessel to improve demand capture, while retaining smaller boats for redundancy, charters, and niche routes. Expand service to Clarksville and Prospect.
- Future (Regional Growth): New routes to West Louisville, New Albany, Caesars Southern Indiana, and Madison capturing tourism, recreation, and regional leisure demand.

We are in the permit and partnership phase — engaging with city and waterfront authorities, securing docking rights, and preparing for vessel acquisition and operations.
